Props (Summary)

So the selection of the props that we have chosen for the film are vital to it.
  • The car itself has to look professional and plausible for a group of professional robbers to use that will get them away from law enforcement.
  • The gym bag doesn't have to look amazing, but it has to look professional and durable. Not a JD sports bad that will fall apart easily.
  • The Gun that we're going to use is the "finger guns" I suggested after watching 2+2. We decided from a consensus that this will be the best option for our film.
  • The sweets are simple and to the point. They glisten and shine in the light, and are reminiscent of treasure.
  • Same with the cigarette. The chicken is smoking and stamps it out before the standoff. This is an intertextual reference to Clint Eastwood in The Good The Bad and The Ugly, who smokes a small cigar before the standoff.

  • The fake blood is needed for:
Blood squirt and spray. I took inspiration from Kill Bill and wanted to implement this into our movie. Obviously we don't have the resources, nor the budget (considering this is a short film) to do it to this extent, but we will still try and use fake blood in a similar way

This I took from Drive and pitched it to the guys to see if they wanted to put it into our movie. They agreed and thus we are going to use it for this, along with appopriate home made foley effects to create diagetic sounds of skulls breaking.

We used Whatsapp and other forms of social media to make sure that our props and equipment were in check too:
